The groups for the beach volleyball tournament of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro were drawn today in Gstaad, where Italy will be represented by three couples.

Among the women, Marta Menegatti and Viktoria Orsi Toth will play in group D together with the German champions of EuropeLudwig/Walkenhorst, with Canadians Broder/Valjas and the Egyptians,Elghobashy/Nada.

Among the men, the European titleholders Daniele Lupo and Paolo Nicolai in group C will face the Americans Lucena/Dalhausser, the Mexicans Virgen/Ontiveros and the Tunisians Naceur/Belhaj.

Alex Ranghieri and Adrian Carambula, placed in group A will face the hosts Alison Bruno, the Austrians Doppler/Horst and another team between Canada, China or Venezuela, according to the World Continental Cup which will conclude tomorrow.
