Biography
In 2015, she got the break she was waiting for since she competed in the London 2012 Olympics, despite the fact that an injury to her shinbone had blocked her for a year: in Dallas, she won the individual bronze in the American Cup. The passion of the 20 year old Italian athlete, winner of a European bronze (in Brussels 2012), is languages. Her life, instead, is all about gymnastics. She listens to music and enjoys chatting but unlike her gymnast friends, she avoids TV: it’s better to “seek inner peace” along the shores of Lake Como and, at the gym, sweating away far from the limelight. Affectionately nicknamed ‘Fagianella’ (little pheasant), she is shy but determined, reserved but gritty. Ready to speak her mind in Rio.
