2015 has been the best year of Giulia’s career so far: being on the podium is now a regular routine for her. Teamed with Francesca Clapcich she won the world championship and the European title, almost doing this again this year (the Italians had to "make do" with a Silver medal!). She knows all there is to know about the Olympics, having made her debut at Athens in 2004, before she had even reached twenty. However, now over 30 years old, she has overcome her "fear of winning" and lands in Brazil as a favourite. In addition to sailing, Giulia also is passionate about various other sports (she plays tennis with Agassi, but above all her passion is snowboarding). In her rare periods of rest, she likes to play guitar, ride her mountain bike and go to the cinema. With a sunny, cheerful and impulsive disposition, this coxswain is able to anticipate changes in the wind. In Rio she will do everything possible to guide her boat straight to the podium.
