She has been in the national team since she was 13 and she even gave up her university studies in order to pursue her passion for swimming sports. With a number of silver and bronze medals in her showcase, enriched by the recent European medal, she returns to the Olympics after her absence at London 2012. The 29 year old from Genoa also enjoys figure skating and, in her free time, she’s learning how to make pastries, attending professional courses whenever she can. Coming to the Maria Lenk Aquatic Centre together with her Italsincro team (missing from the games since Athens 2004) is already a good reason for celebration but winning a medal in this Olympic adventure would be the cherry on the cake.
