Biography
Daughter of the art, she has probably learned to dive even before walking: the merit comes from the multi-awarded father Giorgio, her current coach and her mother Carmen Casteiner, Italian champion in the '70s. She is the first Italian athlete to have won a world medal in diving and the only one to have obtained gold (Kazan 2015). The South Tyrolean is the European diver with the highest number of podium in career, but the blue one, that has managed to dominate the Chinese divers, is not only pool and trampoline: she is divided between glossy covers and appearances on TV and, whenever she can, returns to Bolzano to visit her small parrot and eat a pizza with friends. Holder of a degree in Communication, she would have wanted to study Food Science. After Rio, the 31-year-old diver has already announced that she will marry her Stefano, perhaps bringing an Olympic podium with her: the only one still missing in her fantastic career.
