Continuing the tradition of the great rowers from the Campania region, he began his competitive career in 2006, and soon becoming the pride and joy of the Savoy sport association. In 2010, in fact, he was crowned Under-23 World Champion with the coxed four, at the age of twenty, the youngest Italian gold medal at the championships in Brest (Belarus). Thanks to this performance he was among those awarded at the Italian Sport Awards, the Grand Gala of Italian sport, along with other outstanding Italian sports stars like Valentina Vezzali, Igor Cassina and Valentino Rossi. A medal in Rio will take him one step closer to these great Italian champions.
