The emotions felt during his first rowing race convinced him to give up his position as a football goalkeeper and devote himself to this new discipline. Despite the many sacrifices that the decision has entailed since he was a teenager, over the years he has been rewarded with excellent results and the chance to take part in his second Olympics at just 25. Three World Championship medals in the Junior and Under-23 events and two Senior A European Championship medals go to show the impact the youngster from the Campania region has made on Italian rowing. In what little free time he has, he loves scuba diving, making the most of it by taking a boat out and enjoying a few dives.
