Biography
In Rio she will be defending the Olympic gold of London 2012 from the opponents’ strokes. Indeed, the doubts over her future have dissipated together with the London fog. Thus, the 33 year old fencer, after catwalks, fashion and lifestyle magazine features, and after having had great success in the TV programme “Dancing with the Stars” (Ballando con le Stelle), lands for the first time in Brazil to represent the Italian team. In the absence of the team foil “Dream Team”, excluded by rotation, the Italian hopes are placed on the Olympic Game winner born in the school of Enzo Triccoli and coached by Giovanna Trillini. Open and generous, in these years Di Francisca, from Jesi, has lent her image to promote the Marche region and to defend women’s rights, and has opened her heart to children in Kenya. On the podium, however, she won’t step down for anybody.
