She comes to Rio in the wake of her victory at the 2014 Granada World Championships in the 10 meter rifle event. But the medal table of the Italian shooter also contains a European gold and a European bronze. With the world record in rifle 3 positions, she won the first edition of the European Games, while, together with Niccolò Campriani, who is also her partner in life, she won the gold medal in the mixed rifle. As well as target shooting, the 28-year-old from Bolzano shares with Nicolò a passion for engineering: she too gained a degree at the West Virginia University and, in 2014, she was even received at the White House by President Barack Obama who presented her with the NCAA university championship award. Stubborn, bold and determined, she comes to Brazil with her guns loaded.
