A career that could have been stopped before it even began, after the rupture of the cruciate ligament when she was only 16 years old, however, she blossomed and is all set for her first Olympic Games. Throughout her 24 years there have been many difficulties (thrombosis in the arm in 2014 and an operation on the meniscus last year), but her tenacity enabled her to overcome every adversity and to grasp the positive aspects even during the enforced breaks. During these periods of recovery, she finally understood how important it was for her to play volleyball and how much she missed the game. The time lost in the sporting career was dedicated to university studies in Cultural Heritage or reading a good book, because in any case, by her own admission, "it is important to have other interests".
