She is twice Italian champion in road racing but in Rio she will represent Italy on track thanks to her historic qualification in the team pursuit gained in Hong Kong. With a diploma in science obtained with full marks, for her, bicycles are a family affair. Together with Elia Viviani she forms the golden couple of Italian cycling. “He’s just great at tackling difficulties and he is able to rub this onto me – I think that both in sports and in life we can do great things together", says the 24 year old cyclist from Friuli. Last summer they went to Brazil on vacation to get to know the place and to start taking in the Olympic spirit. Now, they will return with serious intentions and aim to come back with a medal to display in their new home.
