Biography
She started pedalling at age 7 and finds herself today, about to turn 34, with an Olympic event to compete in, having cycled for more than a quarter of a century. As a little girl, in fact, instead of playing with dolls, she spent her days outdoors with her brothers, often riding a bicycle. Like many of her colleagues, she races on both road and track, especially in time tests. She was among the cyclists who gained an excellent placing at the World track championships in the team pursuit foursome, breaking the Italian record and qualifying for the Rio Games. Since she is often away from home, in her spare time she loves to be with her family, especially her nephews and nieces, she loves cooking and traveling. She identifies with the bicycle that runs along the road without making a noise and, just like that bicycle, she has quietly created her own career that has led her all the way to the Olympics.
