At the age of 20, he has become the protagonist of an outstanding enterprise: obtaining the qualification for the Rio Games, having made his debut in the national team only in January. He does not fear important challenges, as is proven by the two silver medals won in the Under 18 championships and a bronze medal won last April. Sicilian, he liked swimming as a kid but then dedicated himself entirely to judo, continuing to cultivate an interest in classical studies and maintaining his intention to enrol in the faculty of Psychology. He is not new to the Olympic experience, having represented Italy at EYOF in Utrecht in 2013 (where he won the bronze medal) and at the Youth Olympics in Nanchino in 2014.
