Biography
Beijing, London and Rio: this is the third time he represents Italian wrestling at the Olympic Games. He has just turned 30 and could have even decided to end his Olympic career in Brazil, although he is still tickled by the idea of equalling his mentor Vincenzo Maenza, who retired after four editions of the Games. After all, the carpet has been his home since his father, a former wrestler, used to take him to play at the gym. In his free time, the Italian bronze medallist at the Mediterranean Games, loves reading and travelling. Not by chance, his favourite film is ‘The Gladiator’. From the Colosseum to the Brazilian Arena: the Greco-Roman is ready to “stir up” the crowd.
