Biography
Four years ago, in London, she surprised everyone and wrote an incredible story winning the gold after an extraordinary series of 99 broken discs out of 100. Now, at age 24, the Emilian defends that title in Brazil and hopes to repay the faith of her coach. From London to Rio she changed her marital status (married with her 'colleague', Mauro De Filippis) and made a few appearances in the competition of Miss Italy and Sanremo, but her determination has remained unchanged. The same that led her to conquer, in both group and individually, two world titles (plus one junior), three European ones and gold at the Mediterranean Games. Her precocious talent also remains (she started shooting when she was eight years old). Not being able to have her own firearms, she entrusted her mother Monica, (who had never fired) to cultivate a shared passion, instead of her father Ivan, an Italian champion.
