At 14, he asked his father to go to the firing range and, after a few weeks, he decided to sign up to participate in competitions, inheriting the passion and interest in shooting from his grandfather, a lover of hunting. The Olympics represent the pinnacle of success for him, as it means being able to carve out a place among the sport's elite. He loves to play basketball, but to avoid injury that could wipe out an entire season, he limits himself to running and swimming every week to keep fit. At the World Championships in Beijing 2014 he won gold as well as the breaking the world record.
