At 15, she surprised everyone by qualifying for a World Championship; now, after a brief unremarkable period, she has returned to being ‘Miss Breaststroke’. “I need a roommate in Rio, get your act together because I don’t want anyone else”, the other Italian swimmer, Ilaria Bianchi, said to her, and she would not let her down, so she snatched the Italian record from the other swimmer from the Liguria, Ilaria Scarcella. Twenty three, from Genova, a few years ago she moved to Bologna to train together with Italian swimmer and fiancé, Luca Leonardi. She has been swimming since she was six, when her parents brought her to the pool to learn to stay afloat. In Rio, however, she wants to do much more!!!
