He started rowing quite late, at the age of 16 after trying tennis, basketball and football and, in a short time, he established himself first at the Under-23 World Cup and then in the senior ranks (in 2011 in the coxed pair). The twenty-seven-year old, from Rome (and Lazio football club supporter), achieved the high school diploma at Liceo Calasanzio; he then graduated in Economics and Business at Luiss University in Rome. A DIY enthusiast and, above all, of engines, in Rio is ready to push the boat out as part of the coxless pair to give his best at his second Olympics following London 2012.
