Biography

In Rio, the lightweight double sculls is in the hands of a lawyer. Born 25 years ago in Gallarate, the Italian athlete from Ispra got into rowing thanks to his father Giorgio, a former rower. Paired with Pietro Ruta, in recent years he has managed to get several placings in the World Cup that bode well. Throughout 2015, his double sculls was one of best in the discipline, though, at the World Championships in Aiguebelette, in France, he came home in fifth place. But, in Brazil, paired with Marcello Miani, he is now ready to graduate from the "University of Oar" once and for all.
