Biography
Clemente is an actor and television personality, but above all he is a boxer: this 33 year old Marcianese does not want to hear about hanging up his gloves at all. And so, with two Olympic Silver medals around his neck (Pechino 2008 and London 2012), as well as a name bearing the highest number of competed matches of all classes and amateur boxing organisations, he makes his entrance at Rio. He is here to add to his collection of medals, and so to enter the history books of the "blue" sports team in becoming the first Italian boxer to have participated in four Olympic Games. Nicknamed "the White Hope" by his famous manager, Don King, he has alternated between TV appearances and cinema roles, such as starring in the film "Tatanka". This year he inaugurated a sports centre at Caserta that will be run by his wife, Laura Maddaloni, who, like all her family, is a former judoka. In 2015 he published his autobiography "Non abbiate Paura di me" ("Don't Be Scared of Me"), though in Rio only a few will be completely trustworthy of him.
