Biography
She is the veteran of the group, with a gold medal won in Athens, and is about to compete in her fourth consecutive Olympiad. She has decided that after Rio she will leave competitive sports to dedicate herself to her private life and she hopes to have children. In a long career that began in A1 back in ‘99, she has won, amongst others, three World Championship medals and six European ones, as well as a number of titles won in club tournaments. The drive that motivated her to continue to play and to win has been the will to prove that her victories have not been achieved by chance or mere luck. Ending the Olympic adventure as it started, with a medal, would be the perfect crowning of a brilliant career.
