CONI and ActionAid at the Olympic Games of Rio 2016. A story of change for children and their families in the favelas through sport,
because the Olympic Games of Rio 2016 can mean true inclusion, from Italy to Brazil.
THE PROJECT
In the favelas of Rocinha and Cidade de Deus, CONI and ActionAid are active in several ways: through education on nutrition in schools, urban cultivation and initiatives to prevent food wasting, free sports activities to encourage aggregation.
BENEFITS
The project will impact positively the communities of the favelas in the short term, with the intent to prolong its effects in the long run, creating new public spaces, educating about sports and healthy food consumption.
