Biography
She grew up in Brescia’s ‘Brixia’ artistic gymnastics club, just like champion Vanessa Ferrari, she is one of the Lionesses who won a gold in the ribbons final in Stuttgart 2015 and a silver in the rings and clubs finals. The previous year in Izmir her team also earned a second place in the world championships. 18 in January, Sofia approached gymnastics at the age of five inspired by her cousin, and it was love at first sight. The young Italian athlete, in fact, loves to perform with music and with props. She is keen on swimming, and the little free time she has is dedicated to reading and cooking. In Rio she comes with the perfect recipe to conquer, together with her team mates, a historic Olympic medal with which Italy can confirm the London 2012 podium.
