Biography
She is the captain and the leader of two generations of what were once known as the ‘Butterflies’ and, today, are referred to as the Italian Lionesses. Twenty-five years old from Prato, the gymnast won a bronze at London 2012 and also picked up a gold medal with her team in the ribbons finals at the Stuttgart 2015 World Championships. She is studying at the Faculty of Language Studies and speaks Russian and English. In her free time she likes to hang out with her friends, go to the movies and go shopping. As a little girl, she studied ballet and practiced horse riding; as an adult, she is committed to handing down the winning tradition of the Italian team and lead her younger teammates into the Olympic limelight.
