She returns to the Games in tandem with Alessandra Patelli, after London where she made Olympic history in the coxless pair with Claudia Wurzel. The professional career of the 28-year-old from Busto Arsizio started with cycling until, in 2006, the desire to change pushed her towards rowing, as part of the Varese Rowing Club. On the international stage, she has just missed the European podium several times, but managed to grab bronze in 2011 in Plovdiv. She also excels at studying, as shown by graduating with honours in Communication Science, obtained with great determination to give her more options for the future.
