Biography
The 35 year old lands in Rio to defend the silver gained at London 2012 (but his palmares also sports two Olympic bronzes, five European golds and one world gold in team sabre). Having stepped on the platform for the first time when he was six, from the very beginning he considered sabre his “job”. The little free time he has he dedicates to his wife Valeria, to his daughter Aurora and to his gym. Neapolitan through and through, with strong roots to his land, he created, together with other Neapolitan champions, the “Milleculure” association (of which he is also president), with the intent of helping young people who are searching in sport an alternative to overcome the difficulties present in the suburb areas around Naples. With a passion for travelling, he would like to come back from Brazil with an Olympic souvenir.
