Men's team for the Olympics: Stefano Tempesti (Pro Recco) and Marco Del Lungo (AN Brescia); Nicholas Presciutti (AN Brescia), Alessandro Velotto (CC Napoli) and Niccolo Gitto (Pro Recco); Pietro Figlioli, Andrea Fondelli and Francesco Di Fulvio (Pro Recco), Valentino Gallo (Robertozeno Posillipo), Alessandro Nora and Christian Presciutti (AN Brescia); Matteo Aicardi and Michael Bodegas (Pro Recco).
Head coach Campagna states: "The selection was the toughest ever both due to the importance of the Olympics and the level of the players. We are a competitive team despite seven debutantes at the Games".
