She comes from a large family consisting of three brothers and two other sisters. Her mother, Paola, is a teacher of religion, and her father, Augustine, is an international consultant from Nigeria. Athletics is not new in the family, considering her paternal grandfather, Julius, was a finalist in the high jump in Melbourne '56, as well as President of the Nigerian Athletics Federation. Her speciality is the 400m event; she won the individual silver medal and gold medal in the 4x400 relay at the Mediterranean Games in 2013. She is a graduate in educational and training Sciences, and also boasts past experience as a model.
