Young, but already on the spotlight of Italian cycle sport. Daughter of former cross-country skier Guidina Dal Sasso and sister of former cyclist Paolo Longo Borghini, she started cycling when she was nine, following her brother's example. She was consecrated as one of the best protagonists of Italian cycling, getting a bronze medal at the 2012 World Championships in Valkenburg, after having reaped a bronze at the European Championships in Goes, in the Under 23 time trial. In the latest seasons, she won at high profile events and now she is ready to aim for the Rio Olympics, with a demanding route that is well suited to her qualities. The hope is to get to Brazil in good shape and risk it against everyone, without however becoming obsessed.
