Biography

Three Olympic Games and three medals. The famous gold medal won at the Panathinaikos stadium in Athens, followed by a silver medal in the team event in Beijing and the success, in the team competition as always, in London. A precocious talent, bloomed by following in his father’s footsteps, he soon emerged in the Italian championships and, when he was yet to turn 18, he joined the National team until qualifying for the 2004 Games at just 21 years of age. He recently married Ilaria and has a passion for sports cars; he has decided not to end his career in Brazil, tempted as he is by the possibility of winning the world title. In Rio, meanwhile, he’s going to try for a bull’s eye.
