After becoming a naturalized Italian, Frank quickly gained a World Gold medal. This “Spartacus” of Cuba is a true legend: first marrying his colleague Dalma Caneva (they are just separated), then gaining citizenship and a world title in the freestyle wrestling, he knows his sport. There is nobody quite like Frank Chamizo: no blue team member had ever able to win the World Cup, the most treasured medal, and his last win (a Bronze medal), since way back in 1994 (Giovanni Schillaci). He loves to listen to music, follow fashion and is passionate about American Football, enjoying shooter videogames and Spaghetti Carbonara, which he loves. As a child he trained secretly because his mother did not want him to fight and follow in the footsteps of his father, a wrestler in the United States. Today, Cuba is his country; for its people, its capacity to recover, its strength and its resistance. Cuba is where he began to wrestle. However, he is hoping for a blue victory at Rio because "the medal is every fighter’s dream".
