Together with Fassinotti and Tamberi, he is the third of the three musketeers challenging the laws of gravity. Born 27 years ago in Trento, he went into athletics in 2004, after a successful career in ice hockey and immediately proved his talent winning the youth nationals in both high jump and triple jump. In 2013, he held the Italian record in indoor jumping, established at 2.33m (a record later improved by Fassinotti and Tamberi). A series of physical problems conditioned his competitive activities in pursuit of the silver medal at the European indoor championships 2015, but now the ‘Jumper’ has returned to complete his Italian trident and come even with good fortune.
