Up until 2003 she played volleyball, but then she was convinced to change sport and try race walking. Over the past 11 years, she has become the fifth fastest Italian race walker on the 20k event, with the stopwatch marking 1:27’51 at the World Cup in Taicang. Born in Puglia in ‘91, she is the only race walker to have won the Junior World Cup. In 2015, though following an injury, she managed anyway to win a fifth place at the World Championships in Beijing which has greatly motivated her in view of the event in Rio. She will turn twenty-five the day after the Brazilian Games opening ceremony. She studied advertising graphics and at the Olympic Games she will do all she can to make the best advertisement for Italian athletics.
