The interiors of Casa Italy

Casa Italia is hosted in the Costa Brava Clube, historical club of Rio de Janeiro, designed in the 60s by architect Ricardo Menescal. Italy comes to the Olympic Games at its best, with a project that aims at enhancing our country, not only in sport.

Partners and artists of Casa Italia strongly believed in this vision, showing their differences to achieve a contemporary, unique and welcoming environment.

COMFORT

In the technological heart of the house, the Kartell chairs stand out for their beauty and elegance, a company that in the last twenty years has been able to exploit plastic, making it into design pieces.

MASTERPIECES ON THE TABLE

In the restaurant, "Vidun" tables, designed by Vico Magistretti for De Padova, Italian masterpiece of craftsmanship and inspired by the functioning of screws and the tables "Square", again by De Padova, graphic, minimalist and essential, of nearly Nordic spirit. The Gina chairs, by Jacopo Foggini for Edra, take full advantage of the light from the large windows, translucent and almost embroidered in gold and topaz. The chandeliers, "Big Louie", were designed by David Nosanchuk and made with a combination of 3D printing technology and manual processes from .exnovo.

LOUNGE BAR

The wallpaper characterizes the lounge upstairs. The artist Francesco Simeti created "The Invisible Cities": representing a landscape that resembles the Brazilian Favelas, as well as industrial cities. The Wallpaper continues its path up to the bar, lit by hanging lamps "La Lollo" by Slamp. It's the same location of Casa Italia, built on a rock, suggesting the choice of the couches, "On the rocks", forming a cozy archipelago, punctuated by "Etnastone" tables by Emmanuel Babled, made with Sicilian lava stone.

CIGAR BAR

Overlooking the Cigar Bar, "Sfatto" sofa by Edra and armchairs "Favela", by the Campana Brothers, among the most important Brazilian designers. Marolla designs counter and tables, in Brazilian hardwood.

COVERED TERRACE

The covered terrace is a small quiet corner where you get the feeling of being immersed in nature: the shimmering blue of the sofas "Absolu" and the red tulip-inspired armchairs Getsuen by Edra, the bright gold of the tables "Brasilia" by the Campana brothers for Edra, and the rug with geometric shapes by Bert Jan Pot for Golran.

RIO LIGHTS

The whole house, from the entrance to the upper terrace, integrating with the architecture of the Costa Brava, is illuminated thanks to Nobile Italia lamps, with the exception of the works of art, skilfully enhanced by ILM Lighting.
